Which version should I get?

This is completely up to but, more often than not, we recommend Primavera P6 EPPM. We’ve adjusted the pricing so that the difference between the two versions is only $99. This way, the decision isn’t based solely on cost. P6 EPPM offers greater flexibility, allowing you to access all P6 Prof functionality while also allowing your business to grow with the software and integrate with other systems, such as estimating or accounting, if/when needed in the future. You also get access to web app and mobile app. This makes EPPM a scalable solution for evolving business needs.

Note: If you buy P6 Pro, there is no method to 'upgrade' to EPPM.

What does "Named User" licensing mean?

The Oracle Primavera licensing model follows a "Named User License" structure. This model permits a specific number of users to access the software, with each user requiring a valid, individually assigned license. The number of users is pre-defined and cannot exceed the licensed amount.

Can I buy P6 EPPM and just use client interface, for now?

Yes, you can purchase P6 EPPM and use only the client interface initially. Many customers choose this option to maintain flexibility for future integration with other systems like estimating or accounting software. The price difference between P6 Professional and P6 EPPM is only $99, offering an affordable path for scalability as your company grows.

It's important to note that if you buy P6 Professional, you cannot upgrade to P6 EPPM later.

What is the purchase process?

Once your order is received and acknowledged, Oracle will email you the End User License Agreement (EULA), called the “Transactional – Oracle Master Agreement” (TOMA), from [email protected]. Check your spam/junk folder if it doesn’t appear in your inbox.

The TOMA includes your provided company and contact details along with Oracle’s terms. Please review, confirm, and accept the terms. Once accepted, we will receive a TOMA key to complete your order.

Oracle will then generate a Customer Support Identifier (CSI), used to verify your purchase and submit support requests. This process may take several business days.

You will receive a welcome letter within five days of order confirmation, with instructions to access Oracle Support and your account details. If not received, please contact us, and we’ll request a resend.

If immediate product access is needed before receiving the welcome letter, contact us to discuss options.

Can 2 users share a license, if one person is using it at a time?

To comply with Oracle's licensing, multiple users cannot share a license, even if only one person is using it at a time.
