WHAT IS ORACLE’S PRIMAVERA P6 VISUALIZER?
So, what is Visualizer?
Visualizer for Primavera P6 is a software product (add-on) that provides you with a read-only, “more visually attractive” version of any project schedules you have stored in your P6 database.
The Oracle Primavera P6 Visualizer combines together the original time-scale logic diagram and the newer style Gantt chart. Gantt charts visualize the start and finish of a project and offer a summary of what steps, tools, and resources are needed, which can be a useful way to plan, schedule, and view available options for a specific project.
The Oracle Primavera P6 Visualizer can be run within P6 Primavera by clicking on “Tools” and finding the option, but it is also possible to run Oracle Primavera P6 Visualizer in a separate application, say on the desktop of which you may be working.
The wizard guides you through the process, you can choose a layout based on an existing layout you have used before or choose a new template. Once the chart loads, you will see only the default settings. Scroll to find the current date and see which projects are on your current radar.
Visualizer reports are customizable. Choose “Options” in the top right-hand corner of the screen (to the right of Save As) to make screen adjustments. It’s possible to add or remove columns, define a row, and customize the font for the selected field. These adjustments are all possible in the headers at the top of the screen.
