Level of Effort Activity in Primavera P6

We all know that Level of Effort Activity has been designed for the representation of work on different projects. It is the type of work that does not contributed to the results of the project but it summarizes work progress. Some of the Level of Effort Activity in Primavera P6 examples are:

• Maintenance of equipment
• Safety Meetings
• Customer / contractor meetings

Question: Is the LOE critical?

No, it is merely a summary of a network within your project schedule. It may summarize a critical path though!

Question: How do I tie my LOE in (with logic)?

The short answer is.. Most people link it in a Start to Start relationship with the first activity in that network and a Finish to Finish with the last activity.
