How to Remove Actual Start Date in Primavera P6
Ever Have Trouble “Zeroing-Out” an Activity Percent Complete in Primavera P6?
All Project Managers encounter miscommunications in a project’s lifecycle. Sometimes this miscommunication can reflect an inaccurate start and end date in Primavera P6, which needs to be amended. A popular question we get in our Primavera P6 training class is, “I’m having trouble removing my activity’s progress. I cannot get my percent complete back to zero. How do I do this?” Good News! The solution is typically just a matter of removing actual units (man-hours for labor resources or work hours for physical resources.) |
Step 1: In the ‘Status’ tab at the bottom of the activity window, change the ‘Actual Labor Units’ to zero, change the ‘Duration % complete’ to zero, then deselect the ‘Started’ button.
Step 2: Reschedule the activity by clicking F9 and selecting the ‘Schedule’ button.
And that’s it! You’ve successfully removed the actual start date in Primavera P6. Check out our more detailed video tutorial here: How to Remove Actual Start Date in Primavera P6
